It started with adventures with my dad, exploring, noticing the little things, and wanting to keep those moments forever.

Purple is my mum’s favourite colour, and blue used to be mine. They’re my way of keeping a little bit of home in everything I do.

Tayla is the creative force behind the brand — part strategist, part storyteller, and fully obsessed with detail. With a Bachelor of Creative Arts majoring in Digital Media and Criminology, eight micro-credentials under her belt, and years of hands-on industry experience, she specialises in product and lifestyle photography with an editorial edge. Add 3+ years in marketing and 7+ years in design and development, and you’ve got creativity backed by strategy.
Meet Blue — studio dog, unofficial supervisor, and professional distraction. Whether he’s napping through edits or popping in to brighten the day, Blue brings the good vibes (and wagging tail) wherever Brush & Shutter goes.
Ben is the ultimate behind-the-scenes MVP — husband, taxi driver, model, muscle, and resident packhorse. Whether he’s hauling gear, filming BTS content, stepping in front of the camera, or keeping shoots running smoothly, Ben is the quiet backbone of the business. Always reliable, endlessly supportive, and never without a helping hand.
